Your First Visit

your first visitWhat will happen at the initial examination appointment?

Upon arriving, each patient and parent will be seen by the staff and doctor who will acquaint you with our office and prepare for your initial exam.  We will take any necessary digital images to allow us to make a proper diagnosis, and Dr. Paschal will then complete a brief, but thorough, exam and personally discuss his findings with you.  During your initial consultation we will address the following questions, and we encourage you to ask questions as well:

  • Is there a condition that orthodontics can treat?
  • Is treatment needed now, or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption, or other factors have occurred?
  • What procedures will be used to correct the problem?
  • How long will treatment take?
  • How much will treatment cost and what are my payment options?
Regular Appointments

The appointment when you get your appliances (braces, expanders, etc.) usually takes from one to two hours. You'll then see us at regular intervals 4 to 12 weeks apart for an adjustment, which takes 20 to 40 minutes. Our regular office hours are Monday - Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5 PM.

We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately.
